Car polish is a coating applied to a car’s surface to minimize scratches and give the car a smooth finish. You should only use car polish after you have washed your car. Both liquid car polish and paste car polish have advantages.
Car polish is applied to the surface of a car to erase scratches and smooth out the finish of the car. It can be applied professionally at a body shop or car wash or you can apply it yourself by rubbing it on the surface with a microsoft cloth.
Car polish and car cleaner polish are not the same thing. Car cleaner polish removes leftover debris such as bug splatter, bird droppings, and minor scratches. With car polish, the shine of your car is protected for as long as one year.
Car polish should be applied only after you have washed your car. You should work the car polish into only one part of your car at a time. Apply the polish in a circular motion using a clean microsoft cloth. After the polish has dried, buff the area with a different clean microsoft cloth.
Paste car polish and liquid car polish give about the same results. Paste car polish is applied by hand.Because liquid car polish can be applied by machine, you can polish more cars using liquid car polish. Paste car polish costs more up front but is a better value because it gives you more than twice as many polishes as liquid car polish.

The best way to tell whether your car is due for a wax is to watch how water beads on the finish. If the drops are over half an inch wide or if the water forms sheets instead, your car needs another coat of wax.
How should I wax my car?
Start by washing and drying the car. The car should be absolutely dry before you start waxing. Water and wax do not mix.

However, since these kind of waxes are softer, you will have to apply more often for maximum effect. Hand waxes in small tubs yield better paint protection and need to be used less often, although they are harder to apply.
Since you know which car wax to pick for your needs, we can get to the waxing process. First, you will need to wash your car well, making sure that you dry it completely afterward. Be sure to park your car in a shady and cool spot next.

Do not plunge your dirty wash mitt back into the soapy water. Rinse your dirty cloth before you put it in the soapy water. Thoroughly wash all areas where salt and other roadside accumulations may be. It is recommended to occasionally use a power washer to remove anything that might not come loose with regular washing. Just do not hold it too close to the paint.
